Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing or product roles.
- Experience in the digital media landscape including formats, buy types, strategies across the sales funnel, YouTube, Video, TV, Display and Social.
- Experience utilizing sales strategies (e.g., sales narratives, sales pitches, etc.).
- Experience working with brands and in social marketing.
- Ability to communicate fluently in English to interact with business stakeholders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Comms Planning at a Business Director/Client Director level within a media agency environment.
- Experience identifying and recommending new processes, procedures, and methods for product adoption strategy, addressing future needs by partnering and collaborating with regional partners/stakeholders.
- Experience as an Influencer/Brand agreements within an agency or advertiser.
- Experience in a leadership role with the ability to work through ambiguity with the team with problem-solving skills.
- Ability to influence and build relationships across teams and functions to address customer needs and close agreements. Ability to be a thought leader of Google product and engaged landscape.

YouTube, YouTube Shorts and Demand Gen have an exciting role to play within this market, with more consumer time spent than other channels, a thriving and trusted creator ecosystem and an incredible mixture of formats (Short /Long, Mobile/TV) to help brands successfully deliver against a number of marketing outcomes.
The Social Video Team (which will be part of the YouTube Specialist Team) is a talented and aspiring team who will incubate, codify and scale our sales strategy, and helping to showcase YouTube’s role within the ads market.
In this role, you will be responsible for scaling activation of critical sales strategies to help the Google sales teams at large activate the opportunity. You will be responsible for working across the UK to refine and execute our go-to-market sales strategy to help grow advertiser and agency budgets by demonstrating YouTube’s USPs (Unique Selling Propositions) and value proposition within the market.
Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate across UKI (United Kingdom and Ireland) to develop and scale sales strategies for YouTube, YouTube Shorts, and Demand Gen to realise growth opportunities within the market and for customers.
- Be an expert in the social ads market, (across both brand and performance) and understand how to execute social like campaigns on YouTube. Utilise knowledge of the industry alongside proficient understanding of advertiser marketing strategies.
- Share and scale best practices, learnings, and sales strategies, such as objection handling, pitching, and compete tactics to upscale accounts and align solutions with customer and Google business needs.
- Resolve and address tactical tests that impede growth. Develop a feedback loop with a product to provide a view for success.
- Collaborate with Internal stakeholders to block and address detractors and drive growth, realising business outcomes.
